And here’s a bit more about our fabulous LSA 49 Co-Chairs and their own education journeys:

Mike Bacon

Attended St. Vincent De Paul for 1-2 Grade, Plainview Elementary (St. Lucia, West Indies) for 3rd grade, St. Dominics School for Boys (St. Lucia, West Indies) for 4th grade, Jenks Elementary School (Tulsa, OK) for 5th grade. He went to George Washington Carver Middle School (Tulsa, OK) from 6th-8th grade and Bishop Kelley High School (Tulsa, OK) from 9th-12th grade. Mike then went on to study at Trinity University where he received his BA in History and then the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, for his MBA. When he grew up, he wanted to be a priest or an architect.

Lori Castillo

Attended St. James the Apostle (K-8) and Antonian College Preparatory (both in San Antonio) She attended TAMU, College Station, for her BBA in International Management and Finance. She also completed a semester abroad at La Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Santiago, Chile. For her MBA, she attend the Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and also studied abroad in Hong Kong and Germany.

When she grew up, she first wanted to be a VIA Bus Driver. In Undergrad, she thought she would go into hotel and restaurant management. In Grad school, she was “hell bent” on logistics.
